rising with the sun.

i hadn't planned on waking up at 6, but my eyes popped open and as i looked out my window it seemed a pretty smart thing to pick up my camera and head out. We are staying at "Sunset Point" so if the clouds cooperate tonight i'll post some shots of the other end of our beach.

But for now the low morning sun was certainly wonderful enough, I'm actually not standing in the water for this shot, but the beach line is so drastic that as the tide fell back it left the hard ripples you see. The word is that the water is shallow enough here that we can walk all the way to turtle point, which will be a journey for later.

I know i promised some house pics, so here's the first. I still need to figured out some better settings for indoor shots in my camera, iphoto can only help so much. There is a hammock between those two palms, lets just say it and I are already good friends.
It has been quite windy, and when coupled with the surf it leads to a rather impressive wall of white noise making sleep come like a some sort of cross between a sledgehammer and storm surge.

the moon was hiding last night, but was pretty impressive anyway, the clouds all being cased in silver. Here's a very sleepy attempt at a long exposure shot, i'll be more successful tonight, when i plan to have all of my photography enhanced by scotch.

There is an abundance of puppy dogs around, we have seen

well, as i watch the clouds roll over the shoreline i think it is time to don some trunks and step in this ocean with no memory.
until later
